PURPOSE

This scholarship will honor the life and legacy of Ryan J. Socha, 2020 DPHS graduate, by supporting students pursuing a career in a skilled trade. 

DETAILS

Every year, The Ryan J. Socha Scholarship for Skilled Trades will award either one scholarship of $1,000, OR two $500 scholarships to recipients who are pursuing a career in a skilled trade. While the pathway to a career in a skilled trade is already significantly less costly than the traditional four-year-university degree, it is the goal of this scholarship to help make any financial barriers to entering into a trade as minimal as possible.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• De Pere High School Seniors pursuing a career in a skilled trade through a partnership with DPHS, at a community college, trade school, technical college, or apprenticeship.

• Recipients will be chosen by a team of De Pere High School staff members.
